PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SALE CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER AND RETAIN A COPY OF THESE TERMS ALONG WITH YOUR ORDER FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

1. These Terms of Sale apply to all goods supplied by Parsons Jewellers Ltd T/A  Dainty Damsel, Company Registration Number: 00301930, VAT Number: 137743063, whose Head office is: 42 Castle Gallery, The Galleries Shopping Centre, Broadmead, Bristol, BS1 3XD. Registered in England and Wales.

(the "Supplier").

No contract exists between you and the Supplier for the sale of any goods until the Supplier has received and accepted your order and the Supplier has received payment in full (in cleared funds) (N/A to account holders). Once the Supplier does so, there is a binding legal contract between us.

By way of clarification, an acknowledgement of your order will be sent to you via e-mail when you place your order, but acceptance of your offer to buy the goods will not take place until after your payment is taken and you receive your acceptance e-mail (N/A to account holders). It is at this point that a binding legal contract is created and any contract is subject to these Terms and Conditions.

The contract is subject to your right of cancellation (see below).

The Supplier may change these terms of sale without notice to you in relation to future sales.

These terms and conditions only apply to web site sales.

2. Making a Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

All prices are in GBP exclusive of delivery. The goods are subject to availability, however if your item is not in stock we will endeavour to arrange a back order for you within 3 working days, if this period is longer then you will always be contacted with the option to either wait for the item to come in stock or to cancel the item. Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown on the Supplier's website are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, the Supplier will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling your order. If the Supplier does not receive an order confirmation within 14 days of informing you of the error, the order will be cancelled automatically. If you cancel, the Supplier will refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods. In addition to the price, you may be required to pay a delivery charge for the goods. We will be entitled to refuse to accept your order if we feel it necessary, in which case we will e-mail you as soon as we can to let you know.

3. Payments

Please be aware that our payment terms run pre-payment policy. No goods will be despatched until payment in full has been received. Payment by cheque must be cleared in the Suppliers account before any goods are despatched so please allow extra time for your item to arrive when paying by this method. Any returned cheques by the bank will result in a fee being charged to you. The fee charged to you, will be the charge incurred to us by our Bank as a result of the cheque failing.

We accept Debit and Credit Cards, Paypal.

All payments must be made in GBP.

4. Shipping and Handling

We deliver Worldwide and the delivery methods & pricing are varied depending on destination:

UK & Northern Ireland

We offer a standard flat rate charge of £1.95 per order to anywhere in the UK.

We always obtain a proof of postage.

Delivery charges are varied to Europe & Worldwide, depending on destination and weight of parcel. Some countries may charge import duties and customs charges, the recipient of the package will be responsible for these. Delivery times Worldwide also vary depending on destination – please contact us if you would like an accurate costing and estimated delivery time for your package.

Please note that these shipping and handling charges refer to one transaction. All parcels will be sent via Royal Mail. The delivery charge will automatically be added at checkout and before you ‘proceed with order’. All orders received before 1pm will be processed and despatched the same day and orders placed after 1pm will be processed and despatched the next working day. (A working day is any day other than weekends and bank or other public holidays). Once your order has been dispatched through the Royal Mail system you should expect to receive your items within 3 working days. Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, the Supplier will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, the Supplier will inform you as soon as possible. Time for delivery shall not be of the essence. The goods may be delivered by the Supplier in advance of the quoted delivery date. Upon receipt of your order you may be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If you are unable to check the contents of the package at that moment in time please sign for the parcel as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so may affect any claims that you make thereafter.

Missing Parcels

We always obtain Proof of Postage when sending any items out by Standard Delivery. If your parcel does go missing in the post, you should email us your order number in the first instance. We will then send you the proof of postage details and original copy. You should go to the Royal Mail Website, by clicking here; where you can read the Royal Mail’s claims process for loss, damages and delay and download a claim form to complete. It is your responsibility to put in a claim if should your parcel go missing and you have chosen Standard Post.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will arrange a back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

5. Credit Card Security

When you shop with Dainty Damsel we use Worldpay to take your payments and you can be assured that your card details are securely encrypted (128bit) during transport over the Internet so no one can read your card information. The card details are only transported to a Bank to authorise your purchase.

7. Privacy Policy

Dainty Damsel does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

8. Returns Policy

You have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to the end of 7 working days after you receive the goods (see below). To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to the Supplier by letter or e-mail, giving details of the goods ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. Notification by phone is not sufficient. If you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to the Supplier at your own cost. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit. Once you have notified the Supplier that you are cancelling the contract, the Supplier will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods. If you do not return the goods as required, the Supplier may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the goods. If the goods supplied to you are damaged on delivery, you should notify the Supplier in writing at: orders@daintydamsel.com within 7 days.

9. Cancellation & Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000

You can terminate your contract with Dainty Damsel within seven working days of signing up with us. However if you have placed your first order, a written confirmation of your cancellation will be needed along with a final payment of any outstanding payments within 14 days. You have a cooling-off period of seven working days beginning once you have received your purchase and you have the right to cancel the order for a full refund. Please note that postage for returning the items will be at your own cost. Please also note that we may cancel your account or suspend your account at any time.
